1912 Huber 18-50 Machine Work Discussion
Virtually all of the machine work was completed by Vern Wattermann of Vern's Implement at 114 Main Street, Melborne, IA 50162, Phone 641-482-3237. The machine work consisted of the following:
- Rebuilding gears
- Building and putting in bushings
- Shaft reconstruction
- Platform reconstruction
- Clutch reconstruction
- Steel and cast welding and brazing
- Front door and heat shield reconstruction
- Rebuilt the blower mechanism
- Much more
Vern also performed several machinical tasks such as:
- Rebuilt the differential
- Rebuilt the oiler
- Rebuilt the governor
- Timed the engine
